Ibiza Resort Guide
Ibiza - Brilliant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy
Ibiza, although one of the smallest of the Balearic Islands, however it manages to remain one of the most popular and famous of all the islands. The clear waters and white sandy beaches prove very popular with people of all ages and the rocky coastlines and caves are a very popular feature within the island. Although Ibiza is famous for being the number one clubbing island, it also has a lot more to offer. There are many quiet little villages and quiet beaches that many people to not realise are there. There are designer boutiques for people to visit and many different water sports to try in the hot weather. Ibiza is popular as there is always something to do as all the resorts within Ibiza offer you different things. There are many lively and noisy resorts for the younger generation that are there for the nightlife along with some quieter resorts for families. The quieter resorts can be found on the North of the island such as Cala Portinatx, whereas San Antonio Bay is home to the lively bars and clubs for those looking for late nights filled with fun. Flights to Ibiza take approximately 2.5 hours.
Ibiza - you will never run out of things to do
There is a brilliant water park in Ibiza called Aguamar. This is the largest water park in Ibiza and it offers rides, slides and swimming pools that appeal to families, couples and groups of singles. The water park is located in Playa D'en Bossa and if the slides and rides are not appealing to you then there are plenty of sunbeds for you to lay on and watch the day go by, whilst topping up your tans. Water sports in Ibiza are very popular and can be done in Es Cana, Playa D'en Bossa and Cala Llonga. They include water skiing, scuba diving, para-gliding and riding inflatables such as doughnuts and bananas. These can all be found at the beach and have proven to be very popular. There are also Pedalos available where you can near the caves. Scuba diving is very popular as it enables you to see all of the beautiful coral reefs and the tropical fish through the crystal waters. Diving lessons are offered and you can hire the equipment for the day. As in many resorts, you can use the golf courses where you can hire equipment and take lessons if you feel you need to. There is a glass bottom boat that will take you around the island and show you the inside of many caves where you will be able to see the tropical fish and even a shipwreck. Horse riding and Mountain biking are very popular and the horse riding consists of jumping and doing various courses.
Ibiza - Vibrant nightlife as well as relaxing resorts
If you are looking for a lively holiday where you are up all night long, then San Antonio Bay is definitely the resort for you. Ibiza Town is also full of clubs and bars with very vibrant atmospheres for you to enjoy. Here, you can dance the night away, meeting new people and enjoying the various mixes of music made available to you by various DJs. San Antonio Bay is home to some excellent nightlife with a brilliant selection of bars, clubs and cafes such as Eden and Es Paradis. The resorts of Es Cana and S'Argamassa are a lot quieter and offer beautiful, quiet beaches and small shops for you to truly enjoy a relaxing holiday. Bars and clubs are generally open until 3am or 4am and many shops stay open until 10pm.
Ibiza - the perfect place to laze on the beach
An Ibiza holiday offers a very mild climate with warm temperatures and a lot of sunshine during the summer months. As in many places, the hottest month is August with 12 hours of sunshine a day and temperatures soaring above 30ºC. Between June and September, you will see the smallest amount of rainfall and water temperatures reach 27ºC meaning the water is perfect for water sports. The winter months of Ibiza are November to April and even then it is still fairly mild; especially compared to the UK. Your average temperature in the day will be 15ºC although this can rise when the sun shines. There is rain in the winter months and it is best to pack a jacket if you do choose to go at this time as it can be fairly cold in the evenings.
