Alicante - Located on the East coast of Spain

Alicante is popular with families and couples and is an enjoyable resort to visit. Flights to Alicante are very popular, as the holiday resorts in Alicante have so much to offer, but at the same time, is so relaxed. There is amazing mountainous scenery in the background of the beach, which appeals to people year after year. The best beach in Alicante is Playa del Postiguet which is filled with find sands and gorgeous blue waters. There are many beaches in Alicante, all of which are very popular, so it is important to get there early if you are going. Hotels in Alicante are most common, however you will also find a few apartments in Alicante if you prefer. The hotels range from 2-5-stars and offer everything from half board to all-inclusive. The apartments have a rating of 3-stars and offer a self catering board basis.

Alicante – plenty for you to see and do

The beaches in Alicante offer many water sports such as windsurfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving. There are plenty of things to go and see such as museums which are full of ancient ruins and are actually very interesting. If you like seeing wildlife, then walking around the countryside is definitely recommended. There are many festivals that take place in Costa Blanca and go through Alicante. Children especially enjoy this as it is full of bright colours and people dancing and singing all day long. There are two safari parks which are very popular and well worth a visit in Alicante.

Alicante – plenty of places to eat and drink

Alicante has many bars, restaurants and clubs for you to try. The clubs have top DJ's and various other forms of entertainment. You will also find casinos, cocktail parties, karaoke bars and live music bars. There are plenty of places for you to go shopping. You will find many designer outlets as well as other clothing, jewellery, shoes, bags and small crafts. You will find many cuisines on offer such as Spanish, Italian, British, Chinese, Indian, American and Mediterranean on offer, all at very reasonable prices. The public transport in Alicante is very good, with a regular bus service taking you around the resort and into other resorts. You will also find many reasonably priced taxis available.

Alicante – beautiful summer weather all year round

The climate is particularly Mediterranean and is popular among tourists. The resort tends to be dry for most of the year, with only 20 days of rainfall. There are clear blue skies throughout the summer and temperatures are on around 29°C on average. In the winter months, temperatures drop to around 13°C, but you still receive around 5 hours of sunshine a day. The hottest summer months of July and August, you are likely to have around 10-12 hours of sunshine. There is a breeze in the resort which helps to maintain the temperatures and keep you cooler in the evenings.
