Where does Tamazight (Berber) come from?
Tamazight is one of the 20 languages which make up what is collectively known as Berber. Spoken in Northern Africa in the regions of Morocco, Algeria, Niger, Libya and Egypt. At one time Tamazight was probably spoken throughout Northern Africa. Today there is no Berber alphabet in existence; transcriptions are mainly Arabic in origin.
