Cala'n Porter - Located On The South Coast Of Menorca

Cala'n Porter is a resort that is good for tourists but is fairly quiet at times. It caters for couples and families that want to spend time together both day and night, producing their own entertainment. From Menorca airport, the transfer time to Cala'n Porter is only around 15 minutes, meaning you have plenty of time in your resort. This is one of the shortest transfers on the island. The beach is perfect for tourists as it is very large and is protected by three large cliffs on the sides. To access the beach, you may need to use stairs and this may obviously require some effort. The beach is covered with fine sands that leads down to the crystal clear waters edge. You can also hire sunbeds, parasols and pedalloes. The accommodation consists of both hotels and apartments which are mainly 2-4-star. They offer everything from self-catering to all-inclusive.



Cala'n Porter - Plenty Of Sightseeing To Be Done

Cala\'n Porter has plenty of sights for you to see including interesting caves and prehistoric stone structures. This is popular with both tourists and locals as it gives them an insight into the history of the resort. There is also a children\'s play area available which has go-kart\'s, rides, bouncy castles, trampolines and even a ball pit. If you want to go on excursions then head to Mahon. From here you can go on boat trips, visit the windsurfing centre in Fornells, go sightseeing and shopping, go bird watching or even play golf at Son Parc.



Cala'n Porter - A Number Of Spanish Restaurants For You To Choose From

Cala\'n Porter favours traditional cuisine which is why there are a lot of Spanish restaurants as well as a lot of seafood. There are a few other cuisines on offer such as Italian and British as well some fast food options. Cala\'n Porter is actually home to the most famous nightclub on the island which is actually inside one of the caves with a dance floor overlooking the sea. There are also a few bars but other than that there is only the hotels which put together evening entertainment programmes. There are a few shops to enjoy where you will find souvenirs, clothing and jewellery, although you will find a lot more options in nearby Mahon. There are seven local buses a day to Mahon and from here you can get transport to other resorts if you wish.



Cala'n Porter - Hot Summers, Mild Winters

Cala\'n Porter is blessed with long, warm summers, clear blue skies and hours of sunshine. Winter in Cala\'n Porter is still good as it remains fairly mild. Although there is rain in the winter, it is light and moderate. There are cool breezes that sweep across the resort maintaining temperatures and making it a lot cooler for you. Summer sees temperatures reaching 30°C with 11 hours of sunshine a day. Temperatures have also been known to reach 35°C, especially during August. Very little rain falls between July and September making it a very popular summer destination. During the winter, you may only see 5 hours of sunshine and temperatures will drop to 14°C. This is between December and January, however in March, temperatures start to rise again, reaching 18°C. It is very rare that it will rain for a whole day in Cala\'n Porter. When it does rain, it usually clears up very quickly.
